Illinois woman dies in truck accident

A tragic incident involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck near Bloomington, Illinois, has claimed the life of a LeRoy woman. Bloomington Fire Department arrived at crash site to provide assistance to officers.

Investigators attempted to reconstruct the scene of the accident at Ireland Grove Road and Towanda Barnes Road. Motorcyclists have begun to come out in full force following Memorial weekend, traditionally the gateway to school closing and fun in the sun.

For one individual, there will be no reason to celebrate summer. The 35 year-old-female was allegedly on her way to work when she collided with a pickup truck near the east side of Bloomington. The deceased, working on an assignment with State Farm since 2011, and had been employed by Randstad Technologies.

After the crash, she was transported to the emergency room at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. She was pronounced dead by the Mclean County coroner. The initial report stated her death was the result of the critical injuries she suffered in the crash.

According to statements issued by the coroner, the woman received severe trauma to the chest and head. Final reports are filed following results of forensic toxicology tests, which were ordered following an autopsy.

Details of the incident are unclear as to which vehicle had the right of way. Police have issued a statement saying the pickup truck was headed east on Ireland Grove. The person operating the truck did not suffer any injuries. The incident is still under investigation.
